Carson Eyler - Vice President
Carson began his zoo career at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo and went on to intern at White Oak Conservation, before joining the Phoenix Zoo team in January of 2023 as a hoofstock keeper. Although having worked with a variety of animals over his career, hoofstock hold a special place in his heart and he especially enjoys working with the giraffe.
Ryan Vittetoe - treasurer
Ryan started his career with an Animal Care and Education internship at the Idaho Falls Zoo, working with birds and primates. In January of 2022 he started as a bird keeper at the Phoenix Zoo and loves all the animals he gets to work with. His favorites include raptors, hornbills, and flamingos. Ryan loves educating zoo guests about the animals he works with and the conservation efforts helping to save species in the wild.
Lysi Newman - secretary
Lysi has been a part of the zoo field since 2015, with experience at facilities in various states and countries working with animals as small as death-feigning beetles to as large as black rhinos. She joined the Phoenix Zoo as an Ambassador Animal Resources keeper in 2021 and is enjoying settling down in Arizona with her pet dog and snake.
